The site where the trilogy Spire of Hate will be posted is now open.  Not only will it be posted, but it will be a novel based from the crowds reactions.  I believe this is the first of its development in many ways than just this.  To check out the site, either follow the link on my "Links" blurp, or copy/paste it from right here!:

If you think something's odd about a character, pipe up and talk about it or ask!  Doesn't mean I'm going to tell you though..  ; )   If you have hopes or ideas or wonders about the characters or the environment, I'm more than glad to hear your opinions.  So please, email me and harass me to write more, tell your friends to visit if you find it any good, and if all is well it will be superb.  Not many people visit the site atm but with certain connections I'm hoping that will all change.  Nothing is posted for chapter 1 at this VERY moment, but any day here it should be...  Right now, the site is up and running, that's about as far as it is...

Morals, Who needs em?!

And if that were true, I'd be greatly urged to slap the stupidity out of you.  Recently there was a little tango of words between me and a friend about morals.  Morality and other systems of belief just make me all bubbly inside.

"Morals make us afraid inside" this person stated in so many words.  If that's the truth, than you had better find some new morals.  They're not about not doing something because someone says they'll hammer down on you with their mighty rage, that's not the true essence of morality.  Sex and Drugs are the major two categories in my mind when it comes to this topic.

Some people live by the rules of not ever taking in forgin substances, or having sex for pleasures of the flesh.  Granted, half of these people that hold these morals true have grown up from strict Christian families.  The other half have the same set of rules but they don't do things out of fear and punishment.  If people would listen to the truth that's in every object around us, they would find the truth.

Morals aren't here to force us into a mold, whatever those morals may be.  Its the fact that some things (i.e.- Sex and Drugs) can easily take they're toll on ourselves and other people quicker than we realize.  They can cause mental, emotional, and physical pain in an instant, and can easily spread like wildfire.  Morals are here to simply say, "Be careful, you're playing with a dangerous item that can effect a lot of people." 

It's sad to see many moralities flying out the window now a days.  I have had friends that were firmly planted in the ground about how drugs damage your body in certain ways and that they're not going that route, because they care about their health too much.  Years later, come to find out, that being who once had those beliefs now says, "Well, now that I did it, drugs aren't so bad."

Not only does that make them a hypocryte, but it shows how morality is an belief that suits the user.  Once that person has crossed their own bounds and have been pressured into experiencing something they didn't truely want...they now claim that it's all alright.  That is a weakness of the worst kind.  Weakness in the self, your beliefs, and your overall character.  Sure I've even done things I'm not too proud of things here and there, and I'm not saying I'm perfect.  But for the things I have done wrong, I can look back and tell myself and others that I was stupid and other colorful words on top of it.

This is turning into a rant, for this I'll apologize.  The fact of the matter is that people should admit where they were wrong, and that they have hurt themselves.  If they can't do that...things simply spiral up and up.  Building into a stronger need and a stronger want.  More sex, more using people, more walking over others because they mean nothing.  More drugs, more waste of your life in a dark room, more pushing everything away from you so you can have yourself and your little 'pleasures'.  Maybe next time I'll rant about the moralities of death and murder.

A friend will tell you where you went wrong, a better friend will admit that they're wrong.

Just for public knowledge, I have no friend I keep contact with that is like this anymore, nor am I bent around the morals and religious aspects of the Christian faith.  I am Pagan, and I am Proud. : )   If ther are any questions or topics you'd like addressed, email me.
